Dr. Riad referred in his speech to the globalization, the GATT agreement and the creation of the world trade globalization.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Nader Riad focused in his speech on the GATT agreement which came up for discussion France in particular took a strong stand against including culture in the Agreement. He also referred to the meaning of the cultural identity that is meant a people\u2019s attitude to life, their morals, habits and traditions. He added \u201cThere is no doubt that globalization is misunderstood and prejudged as completely effacing what is national or regional. It reflects the well known saying\u201d Unity in diversity and diversity is unity\u201d. Dr. Riad referred to the people who are living outside their motherlands.
