Arab Economic Unity Council held an assembly in the attendance of member country deputies in the council and a number of specialized specified Arab unities in Ninth of April 2013 and this for the research of the project of the basic system suggested for the mechanism of investment development in Arab countries and Arab trade development mechanism. Dr. Nader Riad, head of Information and Culture sector and head of Arab Union for the protection of Intellectual Property Rights in the council that investment and Arab commerce development aims at encouragement of investments and intra trade in the Arab region as well as arrangement of the suitable climate for working on their flow, development and settlement. .(Available in Arabic \u2013 German in PDF)
\nThe mechanism aims at a number of axes including: Conducting complete studies about territorial economic status, determination of present investment opportunities of every economy depending on the relative and competitive advantages in coordination with concerned territorial entities \u2013 encouragement of Arab unions to adopt integrated strategies related to investment and commerce, regardless of any territory and in accordance to competitive and relative advantages \u2013 preparation of a strong data base for acquaintance of the Arab product, encouragement of regional fairs set up of good Arab products – study of investment and Arab intra trade barriers, preparation of suggestions and solutions on the practical standard for their coordination on the government standards \u2013 coordination with regional organizations and international organizations working in investment and trade fields for greatening the benefit of what they make available including resources and competences \u2013 working with unions and organizations on unity of standard specifications of goods in member Arab countries in accordance to discriminate experiments in this field \u2013 working on employment of information technology, communications and Internet web in the field of continuous promotion of investment and trade opportunities available in Arab countries.<\/p>\n<\/div>
