The members included prominent public figures and representatives of associations and non-governmental associations. The Minister of Internal Trade invited Dr Nader Riad to attend the first meeting of the council. The council will be responsible for studying and combating the negative phenomena affecting the public health and citizens&#8216; safety. It will also be responsible for combating the main pollutants of goods, monopolization and smuggling. The council will have the right to make proposals and recommendations to combat such phenomena.
